USA Swimming will host its first young women’s leadership summit, She LEADS (Leadership, Education, and Diversity in Swimming), near Washington, D.C. This summit is targeted at female swimmers entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. This summit is designed to inspire leadership in our female athletes and build their confidence to achieve success both in and out of the pool.
This retreat will be facilitated by Susan Teeter.
Retreat Venue:
The retreat will be hosted at the National 4-H Conference Center just 9 miles outside the heart of Washington, D.C. in Chevy Chase, MD.
Participants will stay together in dorm-style rooms on the grounds of the National 4-H Conference Center. All rooms are carpeted, air conditioned, and have complimentary WiFi.
Registration Fee:
The registration fee for this event will cover lodging for an arrival on Sunday and departure on Monday. If participants choose to arrive on Saturday, transportation, lodging, and meals will be at the cost of the participant until Sunday dinner. If participants choose to depart after Monday, food, lodging, and meals will be at the cost of the participant after the conclusion of the retreat.
Travel Information:
If you are flying to the retreat, we will only be providing transportation to/from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Sunday, August 13th and Monday, August 14th. Participants needing transportation must arrive between 8am-11am ET Sunday and depart any time after 6pm on Monday.
If you are driving to the retreat, or being dropped off, please plan to arrive between 11:30am-12:30pm on Sunday and depart between 4:00-5:00pm on Monday.
